Overview
Lake Mburo National Park, located in western Uganda across Lyantonde, Mbarara, and Kiruhura districts, is 254 km from Kampala on the Mbarara highway. It’s famous for zebras and impalas, the latter being unique to this park in Uganda. Covering 370 km² with 20% wetlands, it’s a compact safari destination. Just 3-4 hours from Kampala, it’s perfect for bird watchers and offers exciting walking safaris, free from major predators. Lake Mburo also has the highest leopard population in Uganda.
